I always daydream about having a conversation with super successful women and pick their brains, taking all their tips and applying them to my life and career; with those women who went through everything that we are going now, and haven’t give up! Lately, a lot of girls who are still in University or are just starting their own careers, come to me to ask for advice and tips. So, I have decided to share the things I’ve learned in my 4-years-short career and boost your motivation while you wait for Friday to roll in.
1. You will never be ready
I’ve lost so much time and opportunities because I never felt good enough or ready enough to do something. I believed I cannot achieve it. It was always: one lesson more, one day more, one week more; Oh, I need to sit and learn this; Oh, I don’t know anything about this …
The thing is: you will learn as you go! If you have an opportunity to jump, then do it: jump in! Don’t wait while you are ‘ready’. There is nothing you can not do, so go ahead and do it!
2. Challenges are everywhere around you
No matter what you do or how you do it, how hard you are trying and giving 1000% of yourself, you will always find new challenges you need to overcome. It’s like a game, and each level has a different challenge, being harder to overcome each time. But that is what makes your success. You have to keep moving forward and find a new way to stand.
3. Some people simply won’t believe in you
There will always be people who will not believe in you and tell you that you can not do it. It’s hard for people to take you seriously if you’ve never done it before. Or even if you did. But the secret is to never allow someone’s opinion to be your own opinion, especially when it’s about you. It should inspire you to move forward and prove them wrong.
4. You will fail
Anyone can make a mistake, everyone fails. It is not about failure, but how you react to the failure that will make you successful. Every failure is an opportunity to learn and grow from it.
“The reality is: sometimes you lose. And you’re never too good to lose. You’re never too big to lose. You’re never too smart to lose. It happens.” – Beyoncé Knowles
